For fans of the Dresden Files series the story War Cry takes place chronologically just after Dead Beat. However, reading this before completing Turn Coat will reveal a major spoiler from the novel series— perhaps best left until after completing that book to keep the a surprise. I did notice in my copy that there were a few points where the text appears to either mis-spell a word or phrase a sentence slightly off grammatically but it’s nothing that takes away from the overall story itself— just a small bump that gives a brief pause when reading. I enjoy seeing a visual story of characters new and old in the Dresden series. Carlos Gomez does a nice job illustrating Butcher’s story adapted by Mark Powers for this graphic novel. I wish they wouldn't even sell this on Kindle. I bought it by mistake, and a comic book is just worthless on any Kindle, and I don't think there is a way to return it once you press the button.
